October 15 & 16, 2011: The Sudbury Art Association in Sudbury, MA,  is hosting its second annual Sudbury Open Studios this weekend. Over 40 artists ranging from painters to potters, clothing to jewelers will be exhibiting either in their private studios or at the Town Hall and Grange Hall in the town center.  My friend Ray Bachand of 60Nobscot, a fine furniture maker, will be  hosting several artists at his studio as well.

October 20, 2011: On Thursday, October 20th, The Society of Memorial Sloan-Ketting Cancer Center hosts its 23rd Annual Preview Party for the International Fine Art and Antique Dealers Show. The show features many of the world's most influential art and antique dealers from the US and Europe. 100% of the proceeds for the Annual Preview Party benefit The Society's patient, care, research and education programs at Sloan-Kettering.  More information here.

October 20-23, 2011: The Ellis Antiques show ran for 49 years before closing its doors in 2008. It has been re-launched this year and has been moved to the Cyclorama Building. in the So. End. There are 40 exhibitors and dealers in antiques, decorative arts, silver, quilts, etc.  There are great special events running throughout the weekend, so check out their website here.
