"Something's Gotta Give" keeps on inspiring

Everyone's favorite design movie for set design is still inspiring eight years after its debut. As a matter of fact, I am just about to send several yards of the Lee Jofa fabric used on the dining room chairs over to a client in Australia. That movie has left a large footprint. Earlier this year, we interviewed set decorator Beth Rubino at The Skirted Roundtable, which you can listen to here. Beth shared the process of creating the beautiful Hampton's Beach House set with us - a fascinating discussion.

Hearst Magazines has partnered with Bizzi & Partners, developers of The Setai Fifth Avenue Hotel & Residences, to present the fourth annual "Designer Visions" program. This year's theme is "Cinema Style" and House Beautiful, Town&Country and Veranda, along with their respective interior design partners, have create stylized homes inspired by classic films set in New York City on the 58th floor of the Setai Fifth Avenue Residences.

These include:

. Steven Gambrel for Town&Country -- Six Degrees of Separation
. Richard Hallberg for Veranda -- Wall Street

Hearst Magazines will host an opening night event for Designer Visions: Cinema Style on October 12. Various events will be held in the spaces through the end of the year.

The residences will be featured in House Beautiful's November issue, Town&Country's December issue, and the January/February issue of Veranda.
